biography

Jim has played drumset since age thirteen, guitar since age fifteen, and piano since age sixteen. He attends the Oberlin Conservatory of Music in Oberlin, Ohio, as a Technology in Music and Related Arts (TIMARA) major. Mattingly's primary musical influences are Chad Sexton of 311, Mike Portnoy of Dream Theater, and Danny Carey of Tool.
